Redlights (Work In Progress)

Last year after a series of hospitalisations Nayonica (BBC Upload festival,Sky Comedy Rep shortlist,Chortle Student comedy semi finalist) read Matthew McConaughey's memoir Greenlights, which was marketed as a manual to turn life's "red lights" into "Greenlights". Only it turned out the red lights in Matthew's' life were that he was too handsome, too successful and had too many millions of dollars. So Nayonica, has created this hour of stand up in response for her fellow uglies and undesirables, looking back at all the red lights in her life. During this comedy show Nayonica revisits all the times in her life when planning and doing the sensible thing ended up going wrong (like when she took a gap year to go to Glastonbury and then Glastonbury took a gap year or when tried to eat healthily but then the vegetables gave her food poisoning), then eventually turned out really well. Now, she’s left wondering if she should continue being logical and planning things or if she should just surrender to the chaos. This is definitely a far too philosophically and esoterically complex question for a stand up comedian to answer.

COM-EDM

A musical comedy with cult religious leaders at the helm that’s fresher than the organic aisle and funnier than an unhelpful checkout assistant. Following successful runs at Brighton Fringe 2024, Faversham Fringe and Leicester Comedy Festival 2025, ’SUPERMARKETISM!’ is back with a trolley full of laughs. A dance music-themed comedy that ventures deep into the absurdities of the British supermarket. Think songs and sketches about intergalactic subway sandwiches, spaghetti meets mindfulness, and the dark reality of meal deals. Come and shop in the musical comedy aisle! Touring music and sketch comedy duo Virgo and Dearlove perform a host of character sketches and belting soulful music that tackle the supermarket from multiple angles with religious-like fervour, reflecting the insanity of being ordered around by a self-checkout till. Comparisons drawn by audience reviews have ranged from: Flight of the Conchords to The Mighty Boosh and Meatloaf.

Nick Elleray: Don't Bring a Smile to a Frown Fight

'Life-affirming', 'wildly physical' and 'apt to induce wonder in the viewer': these are all phrases Nick Elleray has used to describe Cirque de Soleil. Since exploding onto the London comedy scene in the first part of the second decade of the first century of the current millennium, Nick has been seen as a comedian's comedian, a niece's uncle and a landlord's tenant. Many attempt to follow the path he has trod. Most of them succeed (it's actually quite a well-trodden path with clear signs and good facilities). But all agree that the real Nick Elleray experience leaves you feeling what can only be described as 'feelings'. In this show Nick will probably talk about biscuits, laziness and testosterone, amongst other things. "An underappreciated purveyor of quality downbeat comedy. Nick Elleray is a classy act" - Steve Bennett, Chortle "Time and money spent on Nick Elleray is time and money well spent. He's great." Edinburgh Festivals Magazine

Tennessee Williams: Portrait of a Gay Icon

"Tennessee Williams: Portrait of a Gay Icon" by Bernard J. Taylor John Stillwaggon masterfully portrays Williams unraveling in this illuminating biographical monodrama. This solo play follows Tennessee Williams in his later years. The audience is invited into Williams' parlor room to join Tennessee for a drink or ten as he recounts the events that shaped a sensational and often troubled career. Shifting from reflection and bouts of inspiration to agitation and moments of despair, the piece explores the tension between the artist’s public persona and private disillusionment, capturing a moment of unraveling near the end of a storied life. The production stars John Stillwaggon reprising his role as Tennessee Williams after a successful NYC Off-Off Broadway run at the American Theater of Actors in June, following the show's well-received try-out engagement in San Antonio, Texas. The one-act play is written by Bernard J. Taylor, starring John Stillwaggon, and directed by Carolyn Dellinger, running 70 minutes. There will not be an intermission. "Tennessee Williams: Portrait of a Gay Icon" is brought to you by KBO Theater Co.

Undertone

What if the play has no script—and yet says everything? Undertone is unscripted theatre where nothing is planned, and everything is possible. Created live on stage through silence, surprise, and the fragile alchemy between two performers and their audience, it’s a high-stakes improvisation that feels like a written play—only it isn’t. This emotionally rich, intimate show dives deep into human connection: love, longing, repair, the unsaid. Sometimes raw, sometimes funny, always alive. No two performances are the same—what unfolds depends entirely on the present moment. On us. On you. Performed by Carpe DM, the international duo of David Christopher (founder of Just The Funny, Miami) and Maria Kolovou (award-winning playwright and theatre-maker from Greece), fresh from their European tour. Come witness the art of presence.
